Doi Inthanon area is great for trekking trip year round. Even in the hot season, this area remains much cooler than the city. Even though there are some touristic spots in Doi Inthanon, there are also plenty of hidden trails, villages and waterfalls worthy of exploration.

Inthanon area is home to several Hmong and Karen tribes and many tribal villages grow a variety of farm produce with help from Royal Agriculture Project. These villages are not touristic and local villagers sustain themselves by working in the farms and selling their products, including strong local coffee.
